Hi guys, I know I’ve been inactive for the past few weeks. It’s been a really stressful quarter and this really important project has sort of fallen by the wayside. So I’ll be working to post updates when and where I can for the next few weeks, and I’ll pick up more regularly after that. Hope to see you soon.

Happy reading,

— Michelle

Tart Triple Threat: Ms. Marvel, Princess Princess and Lumberjanes

We’re looking at sweet and sour family dynamics this week with an Acai, Pomegranate and Blueberry Green Tea from Private Selection, available in grocery stores or online. Ms. Marvel #14, Princess Princess and Lumberjanes #13 each bring up the different ways that family impacts someone — how it can inspire them to follow their footsteps, or to diverge.

Their comic books range from sci-fi-fantasy adventures to classic hero origins to the downright comical, but they each give solid insight into the Expo and how incredibly diverse comics can be. Hex11 was one of the five nominees for the inaugural Dwayne McDuffie Award. Aero-Girl and its creators have been long-time recurring participants in the Expo. And Man vs Rock is bursting onto the Expo scene with — excuse me — rock solid enthusiasm.
